An uproarious update of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Princess and the Pea,” Once Upon A Mattress sets an unapologetic free spirit loose in a repressed kingdom, reveling in Winnifred’s ability to charm and transform with willpower, honesty, and a little bit of help from her friends.  Full of gloriously catchy melodies like “Shy” and “In a Little While,” the musical first premiered in 1959, with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer, and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer.

The Broadway Education Alliance (BEA) and WPBS-TV partnered to create the 16-video series At This Stage to illuminate the important role the arts play in education. The BEA is a New York based nonprofit committed to making the theater more accessible and inclusive for middle and high school students. This series features expert artisans and artmakers of the Costume Industry Coalition (CIC) providing insight into the complex creative process of turning a two-dimensional design into a three-dimensional costume, describing careers in the costume industry, and showing the importance of math, engineering, and art in costume design.

Discover the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall and explore the Forbidden Forest, board the original Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 ¾ and step foot into Gringotts Wizarding Bank, all before wandering down Diagon Alley.
