Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre

Our expert guide-storytellers will provide your group with a fascinating tour of the Globe Theatre auditorium, vividly recreating colourful stories of the 1599 Playhouse, the London Shakespeare would have known and the Globe reconstruction process in the 1990s. Our guides will also bring the theatre to life, exploring how the wooden ‘O’ works today as an imaginative and experimental space for performance. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore our brand-new, walk-through exhibition space. Immerse your group in the sights, sounds, and secrets of Shakespeare’s London, travelling through over 400 years of fascinating history. You’ll be able to relive some of our most iconic shows with seasonally curated displays, and even have the chance to get ready for the stage yourself with interactive costumes and props. Tours given in English. Written information sheets available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Japanese or Simplified Chinese. Whether you’re a primary school, secondary school or international school group, our tours are suitable for all ages and geared towards all Key Stages. You can also combine your tour with a workshop, which is a great way for pupils to engage with Shakespeare.
